I definitely will get criticized by some other fans for this choice but, for me, Fruit At The Bottom is my favorite album! I just love that it is so much FUN!!! Lolly Lolly, Are You My Baby, Satisfaction, and FATB is just fun, funky, goodness. I also love the ballads/slower songs Always in My Dreams, Tears of Joy, and I Think It Was December. This album can always put me in a good mood! Saying THAT, however, I DON’T think that this album was their ‘best made’ album. I flip-flop between Eroica and White Flags of Winter Chimneys (WFOWC) for that honor. Eroica just featured such a wide variety of instruments (Hurdy gurdy on Strung Out, the strings on Don’t Try To Tell Me, and the cool guitar riffs on Why Wait For Heaven) that took a lot of creativity and competency to put together. On the other hand, I feel WFOWC features more complicated song structure and better lyrics. The lyrics on Invisible and You & I are just wonderful! Also, the song structure on Invisible, Niagra Falls, and Sweet Suite is just amazing! So, that’s my 2 cents! My favorite album is FATB, but I admit the album is not their best work! That honor goes to wither Eroica or WFOWC!

What do you think?

OMG, Eroica is ABSOLUTE PERFECTION! Rainbow Lake (one of my favorite songs of all time), rolling into 'Strung Out' is nothing less than Brilliant. Crack in the Pavement? Don't Try to Tell Me? Mother of Pearl? Valley Vista? Turn Me Inside Out, etc? OMG!!!!!

My favorite thing about this album is the diversity of instruments and number of instruments used on the project. Put on a pair of headphones and listen to the "little stuff" in the background. There are so many odd sounds that seem to somehow work in that "left of center" way Wendy and Lisa have perfected. I love the colors and layering of this album. There is just one thing on top of another which makes Eroica the "richest" imo.

I love all of the albums if the truth is to be told, but Eroica...that album is not of this planet.

Eroica is their most varied yet accomplished release in their long career. I saw them play in Chicago in 1990 to support the album. They were great in concert. I would still contend that they were the perfect muses for Prince and his creative peak was when they collaborated with him while memebers of the Revolution.

Both Eroica and Girl Bros. are brilliant. "Skeleton Key" is still an all-time dance favorite--up there with MJ, Stevie, Sly Stone, et al. The production on Girl Bros. puts it a notch above the others, though. They created something timeless with Tchad Blake on that album that still sounds fresh. Definitely not so true of the other albums, even though the performances and songwriting were very good and pretty consistent. WHite Clouds has yet to grow on me, but these things take time sometimes
