Wendy & Lisa influence sci-fi novel

Wendy & Lisa are credited as a major influence on a debut sci-fi/fantasy novel by Eric Durcholz. According to an interview with the author, The Promise of Eden was influenced more by music than anything else. "In fact, many of my short stories were influenced by bootleg Prince recordings," he tells the Amazon.com interviewer. "One of the major themes of TPOE (and the title as well) was extracted from a Wendy and Lisa song."

Lisa Coleman - video game reviewer?!

Fright X Magazine will be running video game reviews by Lisa Coleman starting this year. Fright X Publisher Wyatt Perko says that Coleman's reviews will probably start showing up in Issue 14, with possibly one or two to appear in November's Issue 13. Fright X conducted an interview with Wendy & Lisa last year, and has added a new Fright X site online since then.

Billboard Likes the "Snoops"

Billboard has a sweet snippet on Wendy & Lisa in the Oct 9 issue. Dance Trax columnist Michael Paoletta gives props to the "sublime" duo for their "savvy soundtrack" for ABC's "Snoops," and contextualizes the new work with reference to previous scoring Wendy & Lisa provided for Dangerous Minds, Soul Food and Hav Plenty.

Bramhall tour dates announced

New Bramhall tour dates have just been announced for the month of October. Bramhall will be opening for Kenny Wayne Shepard throughout the southern US. According to Doyle Bramhall II maven Nickie Davis, Wendy & Lisa will not be on the lineup for these dates.
