As reported from Wendy & Lisa’s Official website, Lisa Coleman was interviewed for a new book called PUT THE NEEDLE ON THE RECORD. According to Amazon, “Put The Needle on The Record is pop culture historian Matthew Chojnacki's definitive guide to 7- and 12-inch vinyl single artwork from the '80s." Wendy & Lisa have their own page in the book, containing the "Satisfaction" 12" single artwork + Lisa's commentary. The author, Matthew, also included a great quote from Lisa on a page pertaining to Grace Jones!
Not only do you get additional insight from Lisa, but 20% of the author’s royalties from Put the Needle on the Record will be donated to the Keep a Child Alive foundation, which provides first class AIDS care, treatment, surrounding support, and food for children and families affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India.
It’s a win-win!

Per Nilsen Prince bio released
Per Nilsen's new Prince biography Dancemusicsexromance sheds new light on some old Revolution-era stories, including the story of Wendy & Lisa's leaving the Revolution. According to interviews with Revolution drummer Bobby Z., Wendy & Lisa attempted to quit the Revolution many months before they were 'fired' in the fall of 1996. We'll put forward more information after we've had a chance to fully devour the book. Thanks to Nicole Simmons for the tip!

Wendy & Lisa influence sci-fi novel
Wendy & Lisa are credited as a major influence on a debut sci-fi/fantasy novel by Eric Durcholz. According to an interview with the author, The Promise of Eden was influenced more by music than anything else. "In fact, many of my short stories were influenced by bootleg Prince recordings," he tells the Amazon.com interviewer. "One of the major themes of TPOE (and the title as well) was extracted from a Wendy and Lisa song."
